Corvallis Southpaw Ethan Ross Named WCL Pitcher of the Week

Tuesday, June 22, Corvallis, Ore. – Yesterday, West Coast League commissioner Rob Neyer announced that Corvallis Knights lefty Ethan Ross was named WCL Pitcher of the Week for June 14-20. Ross pitched last spring for the Washington State Cougars.

He made two scoreless relief appearances last week and struck out 9 over 4.1 innings pitched. For the summer, Ethan has made 3 appearances and 1 start and has struck out 15 while walking only 3 over 7.2 innings pitched.

This is the second weekly WCL honor for the Knights as future Oregon State Beavers infielder Travis Bazzana was named WCL Player of the Week for June 4-6.

The Knights (8-4 WCL, 8-5 overall) open a three-game road series tonight vs. the Portland Pickles (5-4) at Walker Stadium at Lents Park. You can listen to the game on KEJO-1240 AM. The voice of the Knights, Mike Parker, will call all the action. Connor Redmond of Montana State-Billings is the probable starting pitcher for Corvallis.
