The San Francisco Giants have recalled left-handed pitcher Josh Osich (2008), an ace on our 2008 WCL champions, back up to the majors. He was at Sacramento in the triple-A Pacific Coast League, where he was 1-1, 7.91 in nine games, with eight strikeouts in 9.1 innings.

Osich made his 2017 MLB debut on Tuesday, May 2 when he pitched a scoreless inning in a loss to the Dodgers. Josh also pitched for the Giants in 2015 and 2016. He played at Oregon State and was picked in the sixth round of the 2011 draft by the Giants as the 207th overall selection.

The Los Angeles Angels have outrighted lefty Greg Mahle (2012) to triple-A Salt Lake City of the Pacific Coast League. He was dropped from their 40-man roster and designated for assignment last week. Greg played for the Angels last season.

JORDAN HORAK: The Portland lefty is 2-7, 4.99 in 18 games, with 38 strikeouts in 52.1 innings.

TANNER HOWELL: The Dixie State righty, a returnee from 2016, was 1-2, 4.32 in 14 games, with 17 strikeouts in 16.2 innings. His season is over.

CHASE KAPLAN: The Kansas lefty, a returnee from 2016, is 3-0, 3.52 in l8 games, with six strikeouts in 15.1 innings.

COLE JOHNSON: The Pacific Lutheran lefty was 4-1, 4.82 in 13 games, with one save and 37 strikeouts in 65.1 innings. He season is over.

DILLON LARSEN: The Central Washington lefty is 0-3, 6.89 in nine games, with a save and 12 strikeouts in 15.2 innings. He is a 10-day signee.

* Lake County (A Midwest, Indians) catcher Logan Ice (2014) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-3 loss to Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, May 3 to earn Corvallis Knights Minor League Player of the Day honors. Logan played at Oregon State.

* San Antonio (AA Texas, Padres) outfielder Nick Torres (2012) was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a 5-3 win over Frisco. Nick played at Cal Poly.

* Colorado Springs (AAA Pacific Coast, Brewers) catcher Andrew Susac (2009) was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-3 win at Oklahoma City. He played at OSU.

* Charlotte (A Florida State, Rays) first baseman Dalton Kelly (2014) was 3-for-4 with a run and a double in a 6-5 win over Lakeland. He played at UC Santa Barbara.

* Myrtle Beach (A Carolina, Cubs) pitcher Casey Bloomquist (2011) retired all 10 batters he faced in 3.1 scoreless innings, got the win and had two strikeouts in a 4-3 win over Frederick. He played at Cal Poly.
