Knights-Pickles series opener rained out, now set for Sunday

Friday, June 10, Portland, Ore. – Friday’s scheduled West Coast League game between the Knights and the Portland Pickles at Walker Stadium in Portland was postponed by rain.

It has been rescheduled for Sunday as Game 1 of a doubleheader, with the starting time to be announced.

The Knights (3-1, 3-0 WCL) and Pickles (5-3 WCL) will play their regular-scheduled game at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. San Francisco righty Jesse Barron (1-0, 0.00) is the projected starter for Corvallis.

Sunday’s twin bill will conclude the series. Probables for the Knights are right-handers Jaden Harris of Utah, making his first start of the season, and Kaden Segel of Linn-Benton (1-0, 0.00).

The Knights are idle on Monday, then open a three-game series at Cowlitz on Tuesday.

Their WCL home opener is at 6:35 p.m. June 17 vs. the Yakima Valley Pippins at Goss Stadium. Corvallis swept a series at Yakima Valley on June 3-5.
