Friday, March 10, Corvallis, Ore. – Linn-Benton Community College middle infielder Camden Christenson has signed a 10-day contract with the Corvallis Knights, coach Brooke Knight announced Friday.
He is a 5-foot-9, 155-pound freshman shortstop/second baseman from Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Ore. He played for the Baum Bat NW team last summer.
Christenson was batting .333 in four games for the Roadrunners this season, with no homers and two RBIs, heading into a March 9 home doubleheader with Mt. Hood CC.
His favorite team is the Seattle Mariners and he likes to hang out with friends in his spare time. The Departed is his favorite movie; Breaking Bad is his favorite TV show.
The Knights sign players to 10-day contracts to add depth to the team early in the season, before many of the full-time players have arrived. Ten-day signees can remain with the team for the entire summer.
Corvallis opens the 2023 season on May 25 with the annual Science, Engineering & Art Day at Goss Stadium, presented by Paventy & Brown Orthodontics.
The Knights begin their quest for a seventh-straight WCL championship against the host Ridgefield Raptors on June 2. Their home opener is set for June 15 against the Bend Elks.
