Corvallis Knights head coach Brooke Knight announced the addition of Kellen Camus of Central Washington to the Knights coaching staff on Sunday.
Camus will be with the team for remainder of the season. He replaces Alex Bailey who had to leave the team because of a hip injury.
Kellen pitched at Washington State and is part of the Central Washington University baseball coaching staff. He joined CWU in the summer of 2016.
He spent the 2015-2016 school year as a graduate assistant under Marty Lees at Washington State.
Camus played four years at WSU as a relief pitcher (2011-2014). In 86 appearances, Camus notched 15 wins and recorded 104 strikeouts. In his senior season, opposing hitters hit .262 against the right-hander, and he recorded a career high six wins.
In 2012, Camus signed to pitch for the Corvallis Knights, but did not report due to injury.
Like pitching coach/associate head coach Connor Lambert, Camus is a native of Olympia, Wash. He resides in Ellensburg, Wash.
