July 7, 2026, Corvallis, Ore. – Knights pitcher Morgan Codron and outfielder Max Medina have been selected to the South Division team for the 2026 West Coast League All-Star Game.
The league’s annual midsummer classic is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, British Columbia. It will be livestreamed on MLB.com, MLB.tv, and in the MLB app.
A rising senior at the University of Portland, Codron (pictured, above) is 0-1, 1.84 in four games, with a team-leading 25 strikeouts in 14.2 innings. He has limited opponents to a .211 batting average.
An incoming freshman at Cal Poly, Medina is batting .289 in 23 games, with two doubles, three triples, a homer and 13 RBI. He has also excelled defensively in center field.
The game will culminate two days of festivities, starting with the Tuesday, July 14 Home Run Derby, hosted by former major leaguer Kevin Pillar.
Pillar then will join Professional Scouts Hall of Fame inductee Marti Wolever and Victoria head coach/former MLB player Todd Haney for a Hot Stove Panel at 9 p.m. in Studio 919 at the Strathcona Hotel.
Studio 919 will also host the Official All-Star Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on July 15, with Wolever serving as keynote speaker. Victoria play-by-play broadcaster Warren Dean will call the game.
“Every summer, our All-Star Game gives fans a chance to see the very best our league has to offer in one place,” WCL commissioner Rob Neyer said. “Victoria has put together a first-class weekend, from the Home Run Derby to the Hot Stove Panel.
“I know our players and fans alike are looking forward to a great celebration of West Coast League baseball.”
The South Division features players from the Knights and the Portland Pickles, Bend Elks, Marion Berries, Ridgefield Raptors, Springfield Drifters, Walla Walla Sweets and Yakima Valley Pippins. Jim Hoppel of Portland is the head coach.
Haney will coach the North squad. It includes players from the HarbourCats, Bellingham Bells, Edmonton Riverhawks, Kamloops NorthPaws, Kelowna Falcons, Nanaimo NightOwls, Port Angeles Lefties, and Wenatchee AppleSox.
The Knights begin a 6-day road trip at 7:15 p.m. on July 7 with the first of three contests with the Portland Pickles at Walker Stadium. They then head to Springfield for a three-game set with the Drifters, starting on July 10.
Their next home game is a July 14 rematch with Gunderson Baseball. They edged Gunderson 2-1 at Goss Stadium on June 24.
