Happy Friday, everyone, from the world-wide headquarters (WWHQ) of the Corvallis Knights, your 2016-2017 West Coast League champions! Our May 30 Science, Engineering & Art Day opener with the Portland Sea Dogs is just 19 days away, so get ready for another great summer of Knights’ baseball!
Incidentally, SEA Day is sold out! Should be a great day at Goss Stadium!

St. Martin’s University outfielder Austin Feist (2018) was named a first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-star earlier this month. Western Oregon junior lefty Jacob Fricke (2016-18) earned second-team honors.
Feist had earned honorable-mention honors in 2016 and 2017. This year, the Burns, Ore., native hit .320 with a team leading six home runs and 30 RBIs while starting in all 48 games. He had 57 hits, 12 doubles, a .511 slugging percentage and a .991 fielding percentage.
He also earned first-team GNAC all-academic honors for the second year in a row. A business administration major, he has a cumulative 3.62 GPA.
A native of Glide, Ore., Fricke was 2-2, 4.01 in 13 games, with a save and 31 strikeouts in 42.2 innings.
Congrats to both players, who are expected to be in the lineup when we open the season on May 30 against the Portland Sea Dogs, and for our June 1-3 series at the Humboldt Crabs.
