Linfield sophomore left-handed pitcher Cason Cunningham, a 2017 Knight, was named to D3baseball.com’s All-West Region team as a first-team selection. He was 5-1, 2.13 in 15 games, with 104 strikeouts in 84.1 innings and helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA regionals.

Infielder Matt Kelly (2016-17) and outfielder Cody Hawken (2016) of the University of Portland each earned honorable-mention on the West Coast Conference’s baseball All-Academic team. Montgomery (AA Southern, Rays) outfielder Cade Gotta (2011) was 2-for-5 with a run scored, raising his average to .333, in a 4-3 win over Jackson on Monday to earn Corvallis Knights Minor League Player of the Day honors. He played at San Diego Christian.
Honorable mention goes to:
- Jacksonville (AA Southern, Marlins) DH Taylor Ard (2009) hit his fifth homer of the season, a two-run shot, in 5-2 win over Mississippi. He played at Mt. Hood CC and at Washington State.
