Four players with Knights’ connections were named to the Northwest Conference’s 2018 all-league team.
Linfield pitcher Cason Cunningham (2017-18, pictured, above) earned first-team honors. He was 6-4, 4.27 in 12 games, with 82 strikeouts in 59 innings. Cason was first-team all-league and the NWC Pitcher of the Year in 2017.
Pacific Lutheran’s Cole Johnson (2017) was named first-team utility after hitting .320 in 39 games, with eight homers and 54 RBIs. He was an honorable-mention selection in 2017.
Linfield second baseman Brady Rediger (2017) was a second-team selection after earning first-team honors in 2017. He hit .276, with two homers and 21 RBIs.
George Fox catcher Austin Baek (2018) earned honorable mention. He hit .274 in 39 games, with a homer and 19 RBIs.
Congrats to all four for their fine seasons.

IAN MACIVER: The righty from Utah 0-1, 8.10 in two games, with three strikeouts in 3.1 innings.
JORDAN McDANIEL: The LBCC sophomore righty, a 10-day signee, is 4-0, 2.25 in nine games, with a save and 19 strikeouts in 24 innings.
ELI MORSE: The righty from Portland 3-5, 3.57 in 10 games, with 58 strikeouts in 63 innings.
DARREN NELSON: The righty from Cal Poly is 4-3, 4.93 in 11 games, with 32 strikeouts in 49.1 innings.
LOGAN NOUSEN: The righty from Oregon Tech, a 10-day signee, is 2-5, 5.46 in 18 games, with 14 strikeouts in 29.2 innings.
JACOB PALISCH: The lefty from Stanford is 3-0, 1.80 in 17 games, with three saves and 22 strikeouts in 30 innings.
AARON POPE: The lefty from Dixie State is 0-3, 10.47 in eight games, with nine strikeouts in 16.1 innings.
CONNOR REDMOND: The righty from Cal Poly is 0-2, 8.68 in 10 games, with seven strikeouts in 9.1 innings.

Jupiter (A Florida State, Marlins) outfielder Cade Gotta (2011) was 3-for-4 with a homer, a run and two RBIs in a 4-3 loss to Bradenton on Thursday night to earn Corvallis Knights Minor League Player of the Day honors. It was his first game with the team; he recently signed with Miami after being released earlier this year by Tampa Bay. Former Knights’ teammate Ben (Wetzler) Holmes also plays for the Hammerheads. Cade played at San Diego Christian.
There were no honorable-mention selections.
